Some family members had a terrible work schedule
that prevented Christmas dinner on the more traditional Christmas
Eve, so we did the turkey a day early. Wynne wasn't there
for the big dinner, but we ate some turkey for her. |
Pete's
Contribution
Pete sent us a bottle of champagne so we wouldn't forget about
him. We emailed him a picture of the fun we had with it. |
Opening
the Champagne
Opening the pressurized bottle is always an
adventure...especially if you don't cover the cork with a
towel. Fortunately, nobody was injured. |
A
Toast to Pete
It couldn't have been as good as being there, but being
remembered with a toast has to be worth something. |
Carving
the Turkey
Ladd carved the turkey while Barbara and Patrick supervised. |
Christmas
Dinner
What else is left to say? How about "Merry Merry and
Happy Happy!" |
Wynne's
Arrival
Wynne flew from Seattle to Albuquerque on Friday night.
When we arrived at the airport, the reader board said her flight
was canceled. We were about to leave, when Robin had the
bright idea to ask the gate agent about the flight. "It
just landed," he told us. Guess who inherited the
brains in the family. |
