Thought ProvokingI love writers who grab me with the first two or three paragraphs. This writer does just that. I found it hard to put this book down. He is obviously knowledgeable about all aspects of the old and new testaments and presents a plausible account of Jesus' life. The premise he puts forth could easily happen today with some of the far-right religious groups in our midst. That scares me more than the torture of Dr. Rosen did and that was definitely frightening. Refreshing and food for thoughtIt's about time someone thought outside the Bible Box with some new possibilities! The characters were well developed and the editing very professional. This book ponders the ideas Jesus was really trying to teach while at the same time being a human dealing with difficult situations in his life. I do tend to think that Mary Magdalene was his love though...but who knows really? Love is love. I think this book is going to have religionists tearing their hair out. I hope it makes at least some people think beyond what has never been questioned about the Bible and come up with some new concepts of their own.
